Tips on injection molding machines

Generally speaking, the customers who have been in the injection molding industry for many years have the ability to judge and choose the appropriate injection molding machine for production. However, in some cases, the customer may need the assistance of the manufacturer to decide which type of injection molding machine to use. The customer may even have only a sample or idea of the product and then ask the manufacturer whether the machine can be produced or which type is suitable.

In addition, special products may require special devices such as accumulators, closed loops, injection compression, etc., to be produced more efficiently. Therefore, how to decide the appropriate injection molding machine to produce, is a very important problem.

The important factors that usually affect the choice of injection machine include mold, product, plastic, molding requirements, etc. Therefore, the following information must be collected or have before the selection:

Mold size (width, height, thickness), weight, special design, etc.

The type and quantity of plastic (single raw material or a variety of plastics);

The appearance size (length, width, height, thickness) and weight of the injection molding products;

Molding requirements, such as quality conditions, production speed, etc.

Suitable injection machine:

1. Choose the right type: the type and series are determined by the product and plastic.

Because there are many kinds of injection machines, so at the beginning of the product should be correctly judged by which injection molding machine, or which series to produce, such as general thermoplastic or bakeries or PET raw materials, is monochrome, two-color, multi-color, sandwich or mixed color, etc. In addition, certain products require conditions such as high stability (closed loop), high precision, ultra-high rate of fire, high pressure of fire or rapid production (multi-loop), and the appropriate series must be selected for production.

2. Fit: Determine whether the "inner distance of large column", "mold thickness", "mold minimum size" and "mold plate size" of the machine are appropriate according to the mold size, so as to confirm whether the mold can fit.

The width and height of the mold should be less than or at least one side is less than the large column distance;

The width and height of the mold should be within the size range of the mold plate;

The thickness of the mold should be between the thickness of the injection molding machine;

Mold width and height should conform to the minimum mold size recommended by the injection molding machine, too small is not acceptable.

3 take out: by the mold and the finished product to determine the "die stroke" and "support mold stroke" is enough to let the finished product out.

Mold stroke should be at least more than twice the height of the finished product in the direction of the switch mold, and the length of spree should be included;

The stroke of the supporting mold should be enough to push out the finished product.

4. Lock: the tonnage of "clamping force" is determined by the products and plastics.

The clamping unit of the injection molding machine must provide sufficient "clamping force" to prevent the mold from being pushed apart.
