PA6 is a chemical designation used for Nylon. Nylon is a man-made thermoplastic polyamide used for different applications like cloths, car tires, rope, thread, injection-molded parts for mechanical equipment, and vehicles.

Moreover, Nylon is strong, absorbs moisture, durable, easy to wash, resistant to abrasion, and relatively resistant to the chemical.

It is used as a vehicle component due to its temperature resilience, strength, and chemical compatibility.

A quality Injection PA6 from a reputable manufacturer is non-toxic and self-lubricious. For this reason, it is very important to patronize a professional manufacturer for the best deal on high-quality PA6.

In addition, it has extensive strength, high press resistance, good tenacity, and stronger than ABS injection molding parts.

Molding Technique of PA6 Injection

There are different stages Nylon passes through for quality PA6 injection molding. They are:

 PA6-GF, FR

1. Preparation of the Main Material

Polyamides easily absorb humidity, which decreases the viscosity of the melt and force property.

There is a drying process to shape it up. Vacuum drying is recommended because it easily changes color and oxidizes under high temperatures.

The temperature used during vacuum drying is 85 – 95 degrees Celsius for 4 – 6 hours. The temperature of hot air is 90 to 100 degrees Celsius for 8 – 10 hours.

2. Melting Temperature of Injection PA6

The temperature of PA6 is 220 – 330 degrees Celsius. The injection molding machine barrel maintains this temperature to avoid decomposition into another product.

The front part of the machine's temperature is lower by 5 – 10 degrees Celsius than the middle part.

Also, the loading part's temperature is lower by 20 – 50 degrees Celsius than the middle part.

3. The Injection Pressure

Pressure has a little effect on the force of PA6. The choice of pressure depends on the machine barrel temperature, mold structure, size of the product, and molding machine type.

4. The Molding Cycle

The molding cycle depends on the thickness of the injection PA6. The injection time, cooling time, and pressure maintaining period will be shorter for thin products, while for thick wall products, it will be longer.

5. The Speed of the Screw

The speed is high, and the line speed is 1m/s. However, setting the screw speed at a lower point enables a smooth plasticization process before the cooling time complete.

Advantages Of Using Injection PA6

There are numerous advantages of using Injection PA6. Some of them are:

· Injection PA6 has a high resistance level to abrasion.

· Injection PA6 can endure the repeated impact.

· It has a high resistance to chemicals.

· It is tough and has high tensile strength.

· It can withstand a range of temperatures for a long period.
